Battery range and durability

Initially, the Haval Chitu was equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged direct injection gasoline engine (GW4B15C), which was later replaced by a less powerful 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine (GW4G15K). Both engines are mated to a 7-speed DCT transmission.
A hybrid version was introduced in 2022, combining a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine (GW4G15H) and an electric motor, providing a combined power of 190 hp. This version uses a 2-speed dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT).
